About the Chef

Chef Jennifer Cornell

Classically trained chef Jennifer Cornell, AKA The Small Chef at Large, graduated from New England Culinary Institute in 1993. Originally from Vermont, she has been traveling throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and the Florida Keys for 31 years cultivating her craft within these countries.

Chef Jennifer has also pursued her love of the seas working as a chef on a luxury live aboard yacht throughout the Caribbean.

Small Chef at Large Catering, a full service catering company, opened its doors in 2001 and has been successfully catering to the Keys ever since.

Chef Jennifer loves to design specific menus for all her clients and is happy to accommodate any food preference. Chef Jennifer seeks food that is in season and seafood that is currently running to make your meal absolutely delicious!

  • Award Winning Key West Food & Wine Festival 2020 thru 2024

  • Food Stylist for the movie The Laundromat (2019), starring Meryl Streep

  • Provided all foodstuffs and service to Cuba with Diana Nyad and all the boats on her team to make her World Class Record of swimming from Cuba to Key West 2013

  • Hosted Walter Scheib, the former White house Chef in her kitchen and catering for a dignitary party at The Little White House 2012

  • All Food & Bar Services for The Key West Literary Seminar of 350 Guests from 2009-2013

  • Judged The St Croix Food Festival 2011

  • Food Styling for various periodicals including Southern Living etc. 2001-2015

  • Kraft Food Services to many photo shoots of catalogs including J Crew etc. 2001-2015

  • Worked catered party featuring Hillary Clinton New Haven 1994

  • Chef at The Russian Tea Room in New York City 1994

  • Cooked for Jerry Garcia and The Grateful Dead 1993
